Welcome to Grace Christian Academy Theater Arts
Each year GCA has the opportunity to offer Theater Arts as an intense, hands on approach to all things theater. Students are stretched and challenged to grow in both their performance skills and individual responsibility. We produce two large scale productions; one each semester. Students audition each semester to determine casting. Past performances include The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan Jr, and Mary Poppins Jr, Our Empty Lot, and Aladdin Jr.
At GCA Theater Arts, we believe theater is about much more than performing on a stage. It is a place where students can discover and develop their God-given gifts, build meaningful friendships, and grow in confidence, character, and faith.
Through hard work, creativity, laughter, and teamwork, our students have brought meaningful stories to life while learning valuable lessons that extend far beyond the stage. Along the way, we have watched shy students find their voice, nervous students gain confidence, and friendships grow into lasting bonds. Whether on stage, backstage, or behind the scenes, every student plays an important role.
Most importantly, we strive to keep Christ at the center of all we do. Through theater, we seek to honor God while encouraging students to use their talents for His glory. While we love the music, costumes, sets, and performances, our greatest joy is watching young people grow into confident, compassionate, Christ-centered individuals.
The curtain may rise and fall on each production, but the lessons learned, friendships formed, and memories created continue long after the final bow.
Meet The Directors
A note from Theater Director, Randall Precup
Hello Everyone,
My name is Randall Precup, and I am the Theater Arts Department Head for Grace Christian Academy. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Sonoma State University and am currently in the process of obtaining my Master of Education Degree from Grand Canyon University. I have been teaching for the last four years at Grace Christian Academy and have a heart for the educational experience of the next generation.
Teaching is more than just a job for me; it is a joy! I love helping young people discover their true identities in Christ, recognize their God-given talents, and grow in confidence. My goal is always to encourage and equip those in my sphere of influence for the better. I firmly believe that relationships are the foundation of any transformation, and I try to serve these students with that mindset. I am proud to have spearheaded this department, produced five fantastic productions, and written several plays.
When I am not teaching, I am probably with my husband of 18 years, Sammy, and our three wonderful children. I enjoy design, organization, the beach, hiking, traveling, sipping cappuccinos, and tasting dark chocolate. I consider myself a true foodie and love all the delicious bounty of Sonoma County.
I look forward to working with you and your students on future shows, and encourage you to be a part of our awesome theater family!
Many Blessings,
Randall Precup

Thank you for your incredible hospitality and generous support of GCA Theater Arts. From providing rehearsal space and storage for our sets and props to graciously hosting our performances, you have welcomed our students with open arms and allowed this program to flourish. Your kindness, flexibility, and servant-hearted generosity have been a tremendous blessing to our cast, crew, and families. Thank you for being such wonderful partners in helping bring these stories to life.
Parents
Thank you for entrusting your students to us and for partnering with us throughout the theater season. From being rehearsal chauffeurs and running lines at home to keeping up with countless WhatsApp messages and listening to practice tracks on repeat, your support has made this program possible. Thank you for your patience with late rehearsals, volunteer requests, schedule changes, and all the ways theater inevitably becomes part of family life. We know many of you could probably sing the songs and perform the choreography right alongside the cast by now! Your encouragement, flexibility, and commitment to your students have blessed this program more than you know. Thank you for cheering them on, believing in them, and helping them grow in confidence, creativity, and faith. We are deeply grateful for each of you.
