Hello! My name is Liz Sulonen, and I have the privilege of serving as the Principal of Grace Christian Academy. My husband, Sean, and I have been homeschooling for over 15 years, and we have four wonderful children ranging in age from 14 to 21.
I was blessed to help start Grace Christian Academy and have served on staff for the past six years. I have been teaching for over 30 years and hold a Bachelor's degree in Education from Simpson University.
I absolutely love children, education, and partnering with families as they raise and educate their children. One of my greatest joys is encouraging students in their walk with the Lord and reminding them how deeply they are loved, valued, and created with purpose. My desire is for every student to be challenged academically, grow in Christ, and develop the character and confidence to use their God-given gifts to serve Him.
It is a true privilege to serve the families of Grace Christian Academy, and I look forward to seeing what the Lord will continue to do in the lives of our students and school community.
Fun Facts: I really, really love ice cream! I also love taking long walks and spending time in God's creation—especially looking up at the stars. Every time I see the night sky, I'm reminded of God's incredible greatness and His personal care for us. Scripture tells us that He knows every star by name, and that beautiful truth reminds me that if He cares so deeply for His creation, how much more does He know, love, and care for each one of us.
